How Can I Help?

Whether you have a few minutes or a few hours, whether you want to volunteer once during the year or regularly, we gratefully accept your generous assistance! Your help is the key to our successful music program.

Band Camp and Mini Band Camp (August - October)

  • serving snacks and water at all the practices as the new 'Show' is rehearsed
  • monitoring the well being of all the students

Pit Crew (August - November & January - April)

  • Transport, setup, and breakdown of Falcon Regiment Equipment at Marching Band Competitions and Football Games.
  • Can be called upon to help with Winter Drum Line and Winter Guard Competitions.

Marching Uniforms (August - November)

  • fitting all students with Marching Attire
  • helping hem
  • checking out and back in uniforms at the end of an event

All fund raising activities (ongoing)

Some examples: Mattress Sale, Tag Day, Citrus Fruit Sale

  • provide support to enure activity is completed on time
  • monitoring the students throughout the activity as required

Picture Days (August)

  • provide support for photographer to ensure students are dressed and ready to be photographed and documents are recorded appropriately

Football Games (August - November)

  • setting up and serving pre-game 'dinners'
  • chaperoning the students from the Band Room to the stadium and back again
  • transporting all 'pit' instruments and any equipment to and from the Stadium
  • dealing with all the props for the half time performance
  • serving snacks and water

Marching Competitions (September - November)

  • chaperoning the students on the bus to and from the venue
  • loading, unloading and transporting all equipment and instruments to the event site
  • dealing with all the props for the show performance
  • serving snacks and water 

Symphonic Concerts, Jazz Concerts, Festivals and Graduation (ongoing)

  • chaperoning the students to and from the event
  • monitoring the students throughout from buying refreshments to 'warming up'

Concert Attire (ongoing)

  • fitting of all students who take Band Class with either a tuxedo or gown
  • checking out and back in all formal attire after an event
  • helping hem and repair attire

Winter Guard and Winter Drum Line Competitions (January -April)

  • loading, unloading and transporting all equipment and instruments to the event site
  • chaperoning the students at all time during the event

Band Trip (ongoing)

  • under the direction of Band Director organizing the content, transportation, accommodation, meals and chaperone requirements to ensure a safe, fun-filled trip

Social Events

examples are Pot Luck Supper in August and Band Banquet in June

  • helping with set up and clean up of event
